Coconut Duet Our same great organic 76 degree coconut oil with fractionated coconut oil added to help keep it liquid at lower temperatures.  It has all the same applications-hair, skin, body and cooking in an easier to handle liquid with a longer shelf life.  Fractionated coconut oil is made by a physical proccess of hydrolizing and then steam distilling coconut oil so that only the medium-chain triglycerides are left-leading to an extremely stable liquid.  There are no chemicals involved, which means of course, there is no chemical residue in the fractionated coconut oil. Because of the medium-chain triglycerides it has an almost infinite shelf life and it behaves more like animal fat which makes it absorbed very easily by our skin and allows it to carry essential oils quickly into the skin.
